Thinking of Volunteering?

What are the benefits of volunteering?

You will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are making a valuable contribution to your local community and helping to provide effective support for ordinary families with young children during the most important early years. Being a volunteer can build your confidence and skills, you can access on-going training and Nest Aylesbury Vale will support you in personal goals wherever we can. Many volunteers find that volunteering is often the first step back into further education or paid employment after a career break.

If you can help us we would love to hear from you, please Contact Us.

Who are our volunteers?

There are several ways that you can volunteer and help Nest Aylesbury Vale – by becoming a home-visiting volunteer, joining the Trustee board or by fundraising.

Home-Visiting Volunteers

Nest Aylesbury Vale’s home-visiting volunteers come from many different backgrounds and vary in age but all are either parents themselves or have parenting experience and are carefully selected for their friendliness and understanding.

Trustee Volunteers

The Nest Aylesbury Vale Trustee board is made up of local people from a wide range of backgrounds, from legal services, health visiting, education and business. The main requirements of a trustee are a real interest in the family support work we undertake and a willingness to be involved and active in the running of the charity.

Fundraising Volunteers

Fundraising volunteers can be involved by helping to financially support the work of Nest Aylesbury Vale. From running a marathon, to holding a tea party, to selling raffle tickets – we are always happy to receive suggestions for fundraising events and are very grateful for all efforts made on our behalf.
